HighTec EDV-Systeme and Quintauris Join Forces to Advance RISC-V Ecosystem for Automotive

Saarbruecken and Munich, Germany, Oct. 28, 2025 – HighTec EDV-Systeme, a leading provider of automotive compiler solutions, announces an essential partnership with Quintauris, the company founded as a single source to enable compatible RISC-V-based products.
This partnership brings together HighTec’s expertise in open-source technologies with Quintauris’ focus on high-performance, interoperable RISC-V platforms for automotive applications. HighTec develops safety-qualified C/C++ and Rust compiler suites for leading microcontroller families and embedded microprocessors, while Quintauris delivers next-generation hardware platforms. By combining their technical strengths and shared vision, the two companies aim to unlock new levels of performance, safety and scalability in automotive solutions.
“Collaborating with HighTec allows us to reinforce our commitment to ensure ecosystem defragmentation and secure interoperability,” said Pedro Lopez, Head of Market Strategy of Quintauris. “Their direction in compiler technology and functional safety aligns perfectly with our mission to accelerate RISC-V adoption for automotive critical applications.”
Quintauris is the bridge between RISC-V innovations and commercial solutions, working to specify reference architectures and develop a future RISC-V reference platform. HighTec’s ISO 26262 ASIL D qualification, along with its advanced LLVM-based compiler, toolchains for C/C++ and Rust, provides a solid, future-proof foundation for building reliable, secure and multicore-capable RISC-V solutions.
“We believe that reference architectures from Quintauris and open-source will drive the future innovation,” said Mario Cupelli, CTO of HighTec EDV-Systeme GmbH. “We are excited about our partnership with Quintauris, that will enable the success of RISC-V in the automotive market, with our tools and services that are designed to meet the highest standards of functional safety and performance.”
This partnership will also contribute to joint innovation on benchmarking, performance optimization, and real-time software enablement, further strengthening the RISC-V ecosystem for OEMs, Tier 1s, and semiconductor partners.
